They may not be the cheapest shooting socks you can buy, but they are certainly not the most expensive, and (a little bragging here) they are definitely the best! The main reasons for holes seem to be either the dreaded moth or barbed wire, neither of which we feel we can take the blame for. I was having a chat with one of my lovely customers the other day, who runs a beagle pack...yes, we make beagling stockings too! He was buying stockings for his new hunt staff and I asked him if he needed any for himself. He replied that the ones he had bought from the shop in Corbridge were still going strong - that shop closed in 1974 when Almost Unwearoutable became a mail order business!!
We frequently have customers who tell us they don't need any more because they just can't wear them out.
