What's so great about our socks (Part 2)

Another great thing about our shooting stockings is that they are long, as Jonathan Young said in the July issue of The Field when talking about the the best shooting attire. We know tall men often have a hard time finding socks long enough, and no one wants a gap between the bottom of their breeks and the top of their sock - besides feeling the chill on a frosty pheasant day in December an inch of hairy leg doesn't do much in the sartorial stakes either! Our standard length is 19" for a mans shooting sock, and slightly shorter for women but we can go as long as you like; we even make thigh high ones! We can go as small as a shoe 2 and as large as a 16 which covers most people. We can also knit them for legs like the proverbial cocktail stick or as wide as 21" round the calf for those with a truly 'well developed leg' like those, as my Dad used to say, with boots like coal scuttles!
